A GUIDE TO THE COLLECTION

Choosing the right kind of blind

Start with what the room needs: softly filtered daylight, adjustable privacy, a compact fabric treatment or convenient shading across a broad opening. The blind type determines how the window treatment operates as well as how it looks.

Roman blinds bring a decorative fabric panel and soft horizontal folds. Roller blinds offer a simpler rolled panel. Venetian slats tilt to adjust light, while vertical vanes can suit larger glazed areas. Screen systems have their own specific purposes and should be chosen around the exact opening and function.

Room conditions and installation details matter. A bathroom may need a different material from a bedroom; handles, opening panels and recess depth can limit the available choices. Blackout fabric is not the same as a fully light-sealed installation. We will help you understand the options before confirming a specification.

CHOOSE WITH CONFIDENCE

Which blind suits your room?

Think about the light first

A bright desk, a street-facing sitting room and a bedroom each need something different from a blind. Decide whether you want to filter daylight, adjust its direction or reduce it as much as possible. Privacy also changes when lights come on inside, so consider the window during the evening as well as the day.

A Roman adds a generous area of decorative fabric. A roller keeps the outline simple. Venetians and verticals offer adjustable slats or vanes. The best choice comes from matching the way the blind works to your daily routine.

Then look at the window itself

Recess depth, handles, opening direction and the space above the glass influence the available options. A blind fitted inside a recess feels different from one fitted above it, and a raised blind occupies space that needs allowing for.
