Design study · Living room
01 / LIVING ROOM
The peacock-blue drawing room
The brief
Give an elegant bay-window living room a warmer, more complete finish while keeping the existing sofa, fireplace and furniture.
The scheme
Full-length peacock-blue curtains frame the tall windows. Patterned Roman blinds add a second layer, while coordinating cushions and a richly textured rug bring the colours into the rest of the room. The curtains make the architecture feel softer without hiding its proportions.

Design study · Bedroom
02 / BEDROOM
A softer start. A calmer end.
The brief
Create a restful bedroom around an existing upholstered bed and oak furniture, with softer daylight and a more settled evening feel.
The scheme
Dusty-rose curtains bring gentle colour and a generous full-length drape. A light inner blind softens the window, while a bedspread and cushions carry the colour across the bed. For a real bedroom scheme, we would discuss privacy, lining and how dark you want the room to be before choosing the final specification.

Design study · Children’s room
03 / CHILDREN’S ROOM
Room to dream. Space to grow.
The brief
Make a child’s bedroom feel personal and welcoming, with a window treatment that works around the desk, radiator and everyday family life.
The scheme
A small star-print Roman blind adds character without overwhelming the room. A blue border gives the fabric a tailored finish, and a matching accent on the bed ties the scheme together. In a real project we would agree the lining, light-control needs and appropriate child-safe operating system as part of the full specification.

Design study · Kitchen
04 / KITCHEN
A little pattern. A warmer kitchen.
The brief
Add softness and warmth to a well-kept family kitchen, keeping the window clear around the sink and making the most of the existing sage cabinetry.
The scheme
A fine terracotta stripe gives the Roman blind a gentle rhythm and connects with the warmth of the oak. Seat pads repeat the accent at the breakfast table. For your own kitchen, we would consider ventilation, splashes, cleaning and the blind’s position before recommending a suitable fabric and fitting.
